Through 2025-26, econext published discussions papers focused on low-carbon fuels adoption potential within its marine transportation, surface transportation, and electricity sectors. econext also published a discussion paper specific to the possible use of available biomass in NL towards low-carbon fuels production – as it quickly became clear that there was a local supply opportunity associated with the emerging demand.
Collectively, these discussion papers are providing new insights into both the possible demand and supply of low-carbon fuels within NL. This paper summarizes what econext has learned throughout this work.
