  • Twin City Green Depot, the local partner for the MMSB, where we accept recyclable beverage containers for deposit refund. We also work with local partner Herbert’s Recycling to execute tire collection for the MMSB’s tire recycling program. Our newest business line in the green economy is cardboard recovery.
  • The regional distributor for Pepsi-Frito Lay, and local dairy

Home Again Furniture Bank

Home Again Furniture Bank is a non-profit working to end furniture poverty on the Northeast Avalon by collecting gently-used furniture and redistributing to individuals and families in need. At its core, Home Again fosters a cycle of giving and receiving that not only helps to create stable, dignified homes that support well-being and community pride, but also positively impacts the environment by diverting hundreds of tonnes of furniture from the landfill annually.

Newfoundland and Labrador’s Climate Change Challenge Fund (CCCF) is a competitive, application-based grant program designed to enable businesses, industry, municipalities, Indigenous organizations and public sector entities to undertake greenhouse gas reduction projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.

This $12-million investment in the province’s Climate Change Challenge Fund aims to improve energy efficiency, create economic growth, and effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Abraxas / Exploits Valley Renewable Energy Corporation

Exploits Valley Renewable Energy Corporation “EVREC” is a P2X mega project located in the central region of Newfoundland, Canada. EVREC was awarded by the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, securing over 300 square kilometres of crown lands. EVREC will include a +3 GW onshore wind project with its associated energy and molecular storage powering behind-the-meter hydrogen H2 and ammonia NH3 production. We anticipate generating 200,000 tons of green H2 and 1,000,000 tons of green NH3 annually. EVREC will have its own dedicated port infrastructure to export its products to global markets.

Wetland Treatment Solutions (WTS)

Wetland Treatment Solutions (WTS) provides wastewater treatment for the industrial, municipal and private sector. WTS specializes in engineered wetland technology. Using the power of nature in as natural an environment as possible to clean up and stabilize sewage – human waste. We deal with the solids (septic sludge) and convert it into a re-usable mineralized/compost material in our sludge cells, and the liquids into clean effluent at secondary or tertiary levels. We can build large or small, full towns or small individual applications – Big or Small we do it all.

Through our association with Sharp Management we generate carbon offsets from these wetland systems, and sell the offsets and transfer the funds back to the wetland projects to reduce their operational costs – our goal is to bring our designs to ZERO cost to operate.

Our vision is to significantly reduce the environmental impact of marine transportation, while delivering a faster and better overall shipping and boating experience.

We will do this by using a fundamentally different approach to boat design, one that has never been commercially introduced before and has significant advantages compared to incumbent solutions including much higher speeds, lower power requirements and reduced environmental impact.

The technology has broad market applicability and is suitable for applications that require high speed, smooth ride, shallow water operation, amphibious, operate in sensitive environments, zero-emissions, or beach landing. It is a better solution for many applications currently served by planning vessels, hydrofoils, hovercraft, military craft and swamp boats.
