Oil Filtration Solutions Ltd.

Oil Filtration Solutions Ltd. (OFS) is a Canadian clean technology company headquartered in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. Established in 2002, OFS specializes in oil recycling, fluid purification, condition monitoring, and lubricant life-extension technologies, reducing waste, lowering operating costs, improving equipment reliability, and supporting sustainability objectives.

OFS owns and markets the Oil Recycling Technologies™ (ORT) brand and supplies advanced filtration and oil purification solutions throughout Canada and international markets. The company’s technologies are utilized across the marine, commercial fishing, power generation, utilities, mining, construction, manufacturing, transportation, and heavy equipment sectors.

ORT systems continuously remove ultra-fine particulate contamination down to 1-micron while removing up to 99.97% of free and emulsified water from lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, gear oils, turbine oils, transformer oils, and diesel fuels without interrupting equipment operation. By maintaining cleaner fluids and reducing contamination-related wear, customers significantly extend lubricant life, improve equipment reliability, and reduce maintenance costs.

OFS technologies have been recognized as contributing to Canada’s clean technology and sustainability objectives through projects supported by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program (FACTAP) and the City of Mount Pearl via the Climate Change Challenge Fund (CCCF). These initiatives demonstrated the environmental benefits of reducing waste oil generation, lowering greenhouse gas emissions associated with lubricant production and disposal, and supporting circular economy principles through lubricant life extension and resource conservation. Results are validated by independent oil sample laboratory analysis.

Customers utilizing ORT technologies have reported:

  • Up to 80% reductions in oil consumption and waste oil generation
  • Diesel engine oil life extensions 3-5 times longer than conventional drain intervals
  • Hydraulic oil cleanliness improvements beyond new levels
  • Reduced mechanical wear and equipment downtime
  • Lower lubricant consumption and disposal costs
  • Reduced environmental footprint and greenhouse gas emissions

In addition to oil recycling and filtration systems, OFS provides fluid condition monitoring, oil analysis services, transformer oil regeneration technologies, turbine oil purification systems, and remote oil monitoring solutions that support predictive maintenance programs and asset reliability initiatives.

As a Newfoundland and Labrador-based exporter, OFS is committed to helping organizations improve operational efficiency while advancing environmental stewardship, sustainability, and circular economy objectives, locally, across Canada, and to global markets.

Wetland Treatment Solutions (WTS)

Wetland Treatment Solutions (WTS) provides wastewater treatment for the industrial, municipal and private sector. WTS specializes in engineered wetland technology. Using the power of nature in as natural an environment as possible to clean up and stabilize sewage – human waste. We deal with the solids (septic sludge) and convert it into a re-usable mineralized/compost material in our sludge cells, and the liquids into clean effluent at secondary or tertiary levels. We can build large or small, full towns or small individual applications – Big or Small we do it all.

Through our association with Sharp Management we generate carbon offsets from these wetland systems, and sell the offsets and transfer the funds back to the wetland projects to reduce their operational costs – our goal is to bring our designs to ZERO cost to operate.
