RODS is an indigenous research vessel charter company that operates out of St. John’s, NL. We have two research vessels (R/V Patrick and William & R/V Connor Murphy) that we can operate across Canada and internationally all year round. We provide a platform for all (or most) types of marine research activities.

Rhenus Logistics Canada

Rhenus Logistics is a family run business from Germany, it is particularly important for the Rhenus Group to focus on the wishes and needs of its customers. Rhenus has a long history providing services to clients globally and we are excited for this next chapter. We have a large number of maritime services in our group that we look forward to offering your team. We operate 50+ seaport and inland ports in Europe and are preparing our first steps overseas. We operate around 600 inland barges (tug, self-propelled barges, barges), a number of coastal vessel as well as some deep-sea multi-purpose vessel and are currently in the process of setting up a new deep-sea carrier. St. John’s Port Authority

The St. John’s Port Authority, which manages and promotes the Port of St. John’s, is an autonomous federal Crown agency created in 1999 pursuant to the Canada Marine Act. The Authority is governed by a board of directors comprised of four representatives nominated in consultation with port users, as well as one representative appointed by each of the Government of Canada, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the City of St. John’s. A President and Chief Executive Officer and a management group are responsible for port operations. The Authority is financially self-sufficient, operates with full commercial discipline, and reinvests all earnings generated from activities into port infrastructure.

The Environmental Services Division of Provincial Aerospace Ltd. provides ice management service primarily to the Grand banks and Arctic oil and gas industries. This includes weather and ice observation and serial reconnaissance. In addition the environmental services division group provides a wide range of physical environmental services to the industry.

Port of Argentia

Port of Argentia is focused on facilitating clean energy transition initiatives and has partnered with major global players in key industry sectors in the renewable energy space.

Port of Argentia has established North America’s first monopile marshalling port in support of US offshore wind farms.

Through a partnership with Pattern Energy, the Port established Argentia Renewables, a substantial multi-phase renewable energy project at Argentia, including a wind energy project and green hydrogen and derivative renewable fuels production and export facility.

With a planned dock expansion at Cooper Cove, Argentia will see the latest innovations in port electrification technology to ensure best practices for green port marine services to many key industry sectors, including marine transportation, renewable and offshore energy, aquaculture and mining.

LPHA Inc.

The Long Pond Harbour Authority Inc. (LPHA Inc.) was formed in 1999 to investigate the long-term potential for recreation and commercial development and activity for the Harbour in Conception Bay South. The Board became an incorporated entity in 1999 and as a non-profit organization, any excess revenues generated through the operation of the port and its various assets are invested directly back into maintenance and improvement of port facilities. Long Pond Harbour Authority Inc. is community based and controlled, governed by a seven-person Board of Directors.
